Nordea Riga Marathon official T-shirt design
The 21st Nordea Riga marathon will take place on May 22, 2011 and its official shirt was this year designed by Latvian op-art painter Ritums Ivanovs. It features black-and-white silhouette of Riga and is signed by the artist. The T-shirts are available for registered participants of marathon at marathon EXPO and after August 26, also at Marathon e-shop (see link below)
The special T-shirt is designed for running, produced using high-quality materials (adidas) and branding of “Nordea Riga Marathon 2011” will be printed on it together with the image drawn by Ivanovs.
Marathon running has long history in Riga. First Riga marathon organized by Riga City Council took place 21 year ago – in 1991. Since 2007 the Riga Marathon Course is officially measured according to AIMS standards. The marathon has international recognition and the 2010 marathon gathered 11 500 runners from 45 countries.
The Marathon EXPO will take place in Radisson Hotel Latvia BLU Conference Centre, Elizabetes street 55, Riga, May 20 & 21 in conference room Omega and May 19 in conference room Sigma.
