With Proarta to Kunst Zurich
Ritums Ivanovs and the Swiss Proarta Gallery are participating in this year's Kunst 14 Zurich from 30 October to 2 November, 2014. Come visit us at ABB Hall 550, Zürich-Oerlikon, Booth C7!
Zurich is an art city and its density of contemporary art is unique in Europe. And since 20 years, Zurich has its very own art fair, Kunst Zurich. Within a few days every autumn, more than 25 000 visitors flock to the special selection found at this distinct show for contemporary art. The Kunst Zurich’s charm is its diversity, from multimedia to photography, installation and classic expression in painting and sculpture. The works range from the figurative to the abstract, from conceptual to spontaneous, from small formats to big scale pieces, from young to established artists, at all price levels. Kunst Zurich is not only an art fair, but a place for lively exchange and sustainable contacts in the international art world.
Ritums Ivanovs with Proarta Gallery started early 2014, followed by a successful group show until end of October. Gallery Proarta Ltd was founded in April 1989 by the art historian Mrs Roxana Malmberg Pirovano. The opening exhibition showed original paintings from Sonia Delaunay. Since then, numerous exhibitions with the "classic moderns" like Serge Poliakoff, Gérard Schneider, Jean Arp, Alexander Calder, Joan Miro and Sam Francis followed. A monographic catalogue was published for most of the shows. The Proarta edition consists today of 20 catalogues. Beside the classic moderns, Gallery Proarta represents various young as well as established contemporary artists.
The gallery is located in the heart of the business district of Zurich, 5 minutes walking distance from the Paradeplatz and Bahnhofstrasse (the Main Street). The space of more than 300 sq.m., is divided in 4 show rooms on two levels with three big shop-windows on the famous Bleicherweg.
