Colouring Book & Arterritory
Arterritory.com is a Latvian art and culture website in Latvian, Russian, and English, which focuses on Baltic, Scandinavian, and Russian art and its manifestations elsewhere in the world. "Colour it! Arterritory for a better world" is an electronic coloring book created as a crisis solidarity project, featuring black and white drawings by more than 70 well-known and young artists, as well as other creative industries. The book can be colored both in print and digitally and includes a Ritums Ivanovs custom made drawing for Arterritory. The project is a joint initiative of the portal and art journalist Paula Luse wishing to unite and mobilise the society, inviting us to think about the world we would like to see after the current crisis.
Una Meistere, director of the arts and culture portal Arterritory.com, reveals: “In this new life of all of us, which came suddenly and unexpectedly, creativity and collaboration have become a crucial tool. By complementing each other, allowing a creative sense of community, it is possible to realize what was otherwise impossible. We wish you a creative and colorful Easter! ”
Project curator Paula Luse notes: "Not only do you have an unique opportunity to see the works of so many artists together, but it is moving to realize that they were created just for us as an encouraging call to paint their vision of a better world."
The coloring book is available free of charge and can be downloaded from the art and culture portal Arterritory.com.
The publication contains works by representatives of various art genres and creative fields. Drawn by photographers, painters, graphic artists, fashion artists, illustrators, interdisciplinary artists, designers, potters, textile artists, architects, set designers, directors and students. Among them are also such well - known personalities in the Latvian cultural scene such as Ieva Jurjāne, Ieva Maurīte, Artūrs Analts, Ģirts Muižnieks, Bruno Birmanis, Kaspars Groševs, Elīna Brasliņa, Elita Patmalniece, Laima Eglīte, Paulis Liepa, Vineta Kaulača, Ritums Ivanovs, Mareunrol's et al.
