The newest exhibition of Ritums Ivanovs includes 19 works aka 10 large-format portraits depicting various Latvian artists, as well as 9 self-portraits of the artist himself. The artist reveals that it was important for him to create contrasts within portraits, to depict the feminine and the masculine energy. Talking about self-portraits, Ivanovs says: "And then I had to look at myself. It's not so easy to look at oneself, because you have to turn the mirror in another direction..."
